Here is something a little different for pic of the week... Here is a pic of a 100 series Brockway that was used in the 1975 movie called "The Hindenburg"... Anybody have an idea what model it is?

Pic of the Week 1-15-12

Last weeks pic of the week was sent to me by Brian Lorraine. Brian also forwarded me this pic, but this one is a little more 'vintage'! These trucks are also part of the Barney and Dick collection.

For this weeks pic of the week we have another two for one special!!! These pics were sent to me by Brian Lorraine. Here is what Brian had to say about the pics...

"The attached pictures are of the Barney & Dickenson fleet in Vestal, NY. The fleet was last on the road in 2003. I consisted of 9 Brockways from '66 to '74, a variety of 358 & 361 models. All were equiped with 238 Detroits and either 13 or 15 speed Road Ranger Transmissions. You could here them coming from along way off."

Thanks for the pics Brian!!!

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas and is enjoying the holiday!

For this week we have another two for one special... Here are two pics of Sears Oil S18 which is E361T-73436. Andy H. shared these pics with me yesterday. It really amazes me how many Sears Oil trucks have survived over the years, including ours... You look at some of the larger fleets (like DeFazio's and Penn Yan) and their trucks pop up now and again, but it looks like most of Sears trucks (especially the 361's) are still accounted for.
