Pic of the Week 3-17-13
Here is another great picture that Andy Hill forwarded me yesterday... This photo is originally from Ed Vanderwall and he had printed it in the Hudson Mohawk Chapter newsletter. He had asked if anyone could identify the make of this truck for him. Ed is not only a fellow member of the Hudson Mohawk Chapter, but is a retired NY State Trooper also.
The truck is actually a late 1920s Brockway KW model. It was owned by the NY State Police, operating out of the Troop G barracks in Troy, NY. Ed expects that the Troopers had several Horse Vans to accommodate each Troop around New York State. These trucks were used to haul the horses around to fairs and other events for the State police. There is a tag below the back window of the cab which is either the Brockway ID Tag or the body builder's tag. Too small to tell.
