Pic of the Week 3-3-08

Here is a pic of a 1956 128WX that I took at the Valley Forge show in June of 2000. I saw this truck at a number of shows including Cortland but haven't seen it in a year or two. Below the pics are scans of a "Flash Card" that I picked up. I believe I remember this truck was for sale a while back...

Pic of the Week 2-25-08

Here is a pic of Dave George's 758 that I took at Cortland a few years back. Someone mentioned it may be a former Root's Express truck. It was advertised in the local newspaper a few months back but I'm not sure if it sold.

Brockway and the REO

Here is a pic that was given to me a few years back of a Brockway keeping a REO company. I'm not sure exactly what model it is and maybe someone else would know. I believe it had the headlights down close to the frame like a 155W or 255W but it has the larger cab. Any ideas?

1954 148WHere is a picture of a 1954 148W that I bought a few years ago as a parts truck. I found this truck behind a transmission shop off of Providence Avenue in Scranton, PA, only a few blocks away from the original Scranton Branch. The box was loaded with transmissions and various tranny parts. Someone had removed the head and only 2 of the pistons, #5 and #6 were left in the block (rusted solid). The head and the oil pan were missing....This truck was ordered by Primo Marianelli and was used to haul produce and groceries.

457 at Macungie 1997

Here is a pic of a 457 I took back in 1997 at the Macungie show. Is there any difference between the Brockway COE cabs and the Mack COE cabs? Were they also made by Sheller Globe?
