Pic of the Week 7-12-10
I found this pic while surfing the ATHS forum today at lunch. It was posted by Tatra who has posted a number of overseas Brockway's in the past. The thing that interests me about the picture is that the truck has the large headlights similiar to the late 30's but the 260 style fenders. My best guess would be early to mid' 40's. Here is some info posted by Tatra :
"Another pic which may be of interest (origin: Harvard U's library, no idea who took it): This belonged to what was then Palestine Potash. pretty certain this one is a pre-1948 model (the company's name changed after the war). Must have been fun driving it at 105°f, climbing up at 5 MPH from the Dead Sea basin."
Notice how the hood sides have been removed to help dissipate some of the heat...
