Pic of the Week 1-12-10

Dave Lewis is a good friend of mine and my Dad's and over the past few years he had given me some great pics, each of which was used for Pic of the Week at one time or another. This past week he forwarded me a pic that was given to a friend of one of his sons.

The picture is of one of Richards Trucking Brockways . Richards went on to become Transway years later and were actually located not too far from my house, across from Naro's Trucking in Gouldsboro. If you remember the pics I posted a while back of the 361 cab and 457 cab in the junkyard, they were both owned by Transway.

So here is the pic... It is believed that the guy on the fender is Jerry Lee Darlyample (sp?) My best guess is that the truck is a late 30's 100 series based on the chrome grill, chrome bumper with dip in the middle, large high mounted headlights etc...
